Orders & Personalisation
Are TÉI Jewellery pieces ready-to-ship or made to order?
Most TÉI Jewellery pieces are made to order. This allows us to create each piece thoughtfully, just for you. From personalised details to carefully selected materials. Selected designs may be available as ready-to-ship.
How does the customisation process work for personalised jewellery?
After you place your order, we review your details the same day. If everything is confirmed, your piece enters production on the next business day. If clarification is needed, we’ll contact you via email.
Each personalised piece is then carefully created through a multi-step process. Beginning with precise 3D design, followed by resin wax printing, traditional lost-wax casting, hand-finishing, and, where applicable, plating. Every step takes time and craftsmanship to ensure quality and longevity.
Once completed, your piece is inspected, securely packaged, and shipped from Australia with care in every detail.
Can I preview or confirm my design before production begins?
Yes, If you would like to preview or confirm your design before production begins, please notify us within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing love@teijewellery.com.au. Upon request, we will prepare and send a design proof for your review within 1–5 business days before proceeding with production.
Can I make changes after placing a personalised order?
If you need changes, please contact us as soon as possible. We can usually help before production begins. Once your piece has entered production, changes may be limited.
How long does it take to create a made-to-order piece?
As each piece is made to order, please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for crafting and delivery (varies by material/collection). See the detailed timeline below.

Our production timelines include both crafting and delivery. The estimated total time from the date your order is placed is
- Stainless Steel Pieces: Approx. 3 – 4 weeks

What materials does TÉI Jewellery use?
Our core pieces are crafted in solid 925 sterling silver, using a casting-based production process. This method allows us to create jewellery with depth, dimension, and refined detail. Resulting in pieces that feel sculptural, well-balanced, and made to last. Sterling silver also offers a satisfying weight and the flexibility needed for personalised designs. Also available in solid gold. 9K & 18K Rose, Yellow, or White Gold(made to order)

For our Name Yours collection, we also offer stainless steel as an alternative option. As this is one of our best-selling collections, stainless steel provides a more accessible choice for everyday wear. Due to the nature of stainless steel manufacturing, these pieces are produced using laser cutting, resulting in a clean, flat design without added depth or dimension.
Each material and production method is thoughtfully chosen to suit the design, craftsmanship, and intention behind every TÉI piece.
What is the difference between Sterling Silver, Solid Gold and other finishes?
925 Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver, strengthened for everyday wear while preserving the beauty and character of the metal. It is a precious material with intrinsic value, and its price often moves alongside gold in the global precious metals market. When gold rises, silver commonly follows. Allowing sterling silver to retain and grow its value over time.
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and is one of the most widely used and trusted materials in jewellery making. From a craftsmanship perspective, sterling silver is highly suited to handcrafted jewellery and casting processes, allowing for beautiful depth, structure, and refined detail. Its balance of strength and workability makes it an ideal choice for personalised pieces that require character, form, and lasting quality.
Over time, sterling silver may develop a soft natural patina, which many wearers appreciate as part of the piece’s evolving story.

Solid Gold 9K, 14K, 18K, 23K, 24K
Solid gold jewellery is valued for its permanence, rarity, and long-term worth. Gold purity is measured in karats (K), indicating the percentage of pure gold in the piece:
• 9K Gold – 37.5% pure gold
• 14K Gold – 58.5% pure gold
• 18K Gold – 75% pure gold
• 23K Gold – 96.5% pure gold
• 24K Gold – 99.9% pure gold
At TÉI Jewellery, we offer 9K and 18K solid gold, made to order in Rose, Yellow, or White Gold. Lower karat golds offer greater strength for everyday wear, while higher karats provide richer colour and higher gold content. Solid gold does not tarnish and is designed to be worn, cherished, and passed down.

Rhodium-Plated Silver

Gold Vermeil (2.5 Micron Gold Plating)

It provides the warmth and elegance of gold while retaining the strength and structure of sterling silver beneath.
Do you offer Lab-Grown and Natural Diamonds?
Yes, For our diamond pieces, we offer both Lab-Grown Diamonds and Natural Diamonds, allowing you to choose what best suits your values, style, and budget.
Lab-Grown and Natural Diamonds share the same physical, chemical, and optical properties. The key difference lies in their origin. Natural diamonds are formed over billions of years beneath the earth, while lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled laboratory environments. Visually and structurally, they are indistinguishable.
In terms of pricing, lab-grown diamonds are typically 20–60% more accessible than natural diamonds of similar size and quality. Natural diamonds, however, carry rarity and traditional long-term value.

Where is TÉI Jewellery made?
Every piece is lovingly designed in Australia and produced in collaboration with our global artisan partners. Each creation is carefully inspected and shipped from Melbourne, Australia.
Is your jewellery suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our jewellery is designed with comfort and safety in mind. We use Rhodium-Plated Silver and Gold Vermeil finishes that are hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and gentle on sensitive skin.
Rhodium plating provides a protective surface that reduces direct contact between the skin and the base metal, helping to minimise irritation while enhancing durability and brightness. Gold Vermeil features a thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver, offering warmth in tone and a smooth, skin-friendly finish.
For best wear, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture, perfumes, and lotions, especially for sensitive skin. With proper care, our pieces are comfortable for everyday wear.

Shipping & Delivery
Where does TÉI Jewellery ship from?
All orders are shipped from our Melbourne studio, Australia, after each piece has been carefully inspected and beautifully packaged. Every order is prepared with attention to detail, so it arrives safely and leaves a lasting impression.
How long does shipping take within Australia and internationally?
Our production timelines include both crafting and delivery. The typical total time from the date your order is placed is:
- Stainless Steel: approximately 3–4 weeks
- Sterling Silver: approximately 4–6 weeks
- Solid Gold & Diamond: approximately 8–12 weeks
Please note that delivery times may vary during peak seasons, public holidays, or depending on the destination country for international orders.
Will I receive tracking information for my order?
Yes. Once your piece has been completed, received at our Melbourne studio, and dispatched, a tracking number will be sent to you via email so you can follow your delivery journey.
Do you offer free shipping? (AU shipping rates)
Shipping within Australia (via Australia Post, shipped from Melbourne):
- Orders $200+: Standard Free | Express $10
- Orders under $200: Standard $8 | Express $12
Do I need to pay customs duties or taxes?
For orders shipped outside Australia, the receiver is responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes, or customs fees. Please check local regulations before ordering.
Returns, Repairs & Care
What is your return and exchange policy?
We want you to feel confident and comfortable shopping with TÉI Jewellery.
If your item arrives with a major fault, does not match its description, or is not suitable for its intended use, we will work with you to offer an appropriate solution. Whether that’s a repair, replacement, or refund.
For eligible non-personalised items, returns or exchanges may be accepted within the specified timeframe, provided the piece is:
- New, unworn, and undamaged
- Returned in its original condition
- Approved by our team prior to return
Refunds are processed via the original payment method, with no processing fees. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, refunds are typically processed within up to 5 business days.
As our jewellery is crafted in small batches and made with care, subtle variations in finish or texture are part of the beauty of handmade jewellery and are not considered faults.

Can personalised or made-to-order pieces be returned?
As personalised and made-to-order pieces are created specifically for you, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges for change-of-mind reasons.
However, if your piece arrives with a manufacturing fault or does not meet the agreed specifications, please contact us as soon as possible. We will carefully review the issue and work with you to find a fair and appropriate solution.

Do you offer resizing or repair services?
Yes, we offer resizing and repair services for selected designs.
As each piece is uniquely crafted, resizing or repair fees are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We recommend contacting us before sending your jewellery back so we can guide you through the process.
To ensure the integrity and quality of your piece, we do not recommend resizing or repairs through third-party jewellers. If external services are used, TÉI Jewellery cannot be held responsible for the outcome.

How should I care for my jewellery to keep it looking its best?
To keep your piece beautiful:
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions, and water
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use

Do TÉI Jewellery pieces come with a warranty?
Yes. Every TÉI Jewellery piece comes with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing faults under normal wear.
Each piece is carefully quality-checked and securely packaged before dispatch. You may also request a pre-shipment photo of your finished piece for added peace of mind.
Please note that our warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Accidental impact, dropping, or mishandling
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Exposure to chemicals, water, perfumes, or lotions
- Improper storage or unauthorised repairs or resizing
While we pack every order with great care, TÉI Jewellery cannot be held responsible for damage caused during transit by the courier. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with photos so we can assist.
